Atlas production release date

Hi

We are planning to use Atlas framework for our new project which involves getting quotes from a rate server in forex market.
As we see we have only a beta version of Atlas and not a production release.
We are awaiting for the release date of Atlas while our project schedule is crushing us. We would like to know the approximate production release date for Atlas.

Can any one of you gives us an approximate production release date for Atlas?

On the DevDays2006 (8 march 2006 - Amsterdam - The Netherlands) Scott Guthrie told the crowd that the go-live license will be out within 30 day's or so...

Hey All -

We're planning on releasing our online product in July/August timeframe. We won't be able to use Atlas unless it's a full release. Is there any info or hints as to when it may be released?

Hi John,

The Go-Live version of Atlas is available now (the March CTP drop is the first one that supports production deployments). All releases of Atlas from now on will continue to support go-live deployments.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried to push the go-live on the CTPs, but the powers-that-be won't let us release with our product using CTP/beta products. What I was looking for is more of a hint on when Atlas may be RTMed, since we couldn't release with it before that.

We have a similar situation as John. We won't be able to release our product using CTP/beta products. Could you provide us with some information on when Atlas would be released. I keep hearing rumours that it would get shipped with Orcas. But, again I don't know when Orcas will be released.

We are looking to potentially ship Atlas before Orcas (later this year). We haven't finalized or announced any dates yet -- but stay tuned as this is something we'll look to do over the next few weeks.

I had, I guess still "have", been loving Atlas and the functionality it has promised, but it's still been getting increasingly buggy (for instance,this new one) as I use it more and more that there is no way I am comformatable releasing an Atlas-based website to our customers at this time...

I totally understand that while it's "go live" right now that it is still "beta" (or whatever the new term is), I just hope between now and official release that it's a lot more stable

Ah well, i'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hopes up

where and when does that error happen? i've used 2 or 3 controls of the toolkit and haven't got any errors till now. any chance of building a small demo project that reproduces this?
