Atlas Showstopper - Pass Control Back to Page JS after Update Panel Execution

I need to be able to pass control back to page JS after update panel execution. As far as I can tell right now, this is a critical requirement that will strongly affect my ability to utilize Atlas.

This is a either major architectural consideration, or a feature that I have overlooked.

Either way, it's holding me up from completing my design, and the default is "Don't use Atlas".

I've asked this question in a number of forums and have drawn a complete blank.

I'd like to see MS Atlas experts step up and provide a response.
